Can White Leghorn Chickens be Broody?

Buff Orpingtons and White Orpingtons will both go broody very easily and both make excellent mothers. White Leghorns will go broody but not very often, it would be rare. If you want to raise them you'd be a lot better off using an incubator. This is because the trait to go "broody" has been bred out of certain breeds because when a hen goes broody she quits laying eggs. If you are raising chickens solely for egg production, you would not keep and reproduce hens that quit laying.
