Will my friends laugh at me doing a new club?

My group of friends are quite stuck up, they think they are 'it' and they think they are really pretty...But recently a girl has started to hang around with us and she does Baton Twirling,me and my friend joined too. But we are both rubbish,and we've only told a couple of the girls, and they sed and laughed, I suspect they are laughing behind our backs too.What should we do if they laugh and take the micky?
