It appears that a lot of God's creations went bad...is the problem with the creations or with the creator?

Satan actually wanted to be God, so No on that one definitely Satan had the problem. Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan in the form of a serpent. So I was definitely say that Satan was not happy that he was cast out of heaven with his minions for going against God. As for shoddy work, have you even looked at the mountains or been to the oceans. Perhaps you are not impressed with sky and moon and the sun. As for a sentient being God created that did not go bad, Enoch. In Genesis. he was one of the first resurrected souls. Elijah, resurrected. The two martyrs in Revelations resurrected, the saints and the dead, resurrected. the 144,000 chosen to be in the first resurrection. The resurrection of the rest of humanity written in the Lamb's book of life. Not too shabby!
