Is it normal to wake up with Flynn on your throat?

every morning when i wake up i have Flynn behind my uvula. When i cough it up and spit it out, my throat feels EXTREMELY dry. Only two reasons why I think this is happening is because I have allergies/sinuses, and i had tonsillitis and never had my tonsils removed
