Do seniors have selective memory?
I ume most of you were parents with children in the 70s and 80s when crime rates were almost twice as high as they are today. In particular violent crime(murder, , robbery and ault) and property crime(burglary, larceny/theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson) were significantly higher than they are today. In spite of this I always see lots of questions along the lines of 'when did the world become so dangerous for children' or comments that suggest that world is a worse place than it was 30 years ago. Do seniors decide to forget what the world was like or are they just brainwashed by the media?
