At my works?

I work at a fast food place and my new boss is geting some litter pickers for me at the moment we get them on deliver and they are cheap basic ones that last two weeks and my old boss youse to order four at a time but wen I got my rubish cart four years ago they came with a metal one and it lasted 8 months and my new boss says hes geting the metal one because they last longer. do you think it makes sence to buy expensive ones when you get longer out of them? and do you think buying cheap is false economy?
